Due to this, Catherine is sent by Rhea to Brigid to persuade them otherwise. In Petra and Bernadetta's shared Paralogue, Foreign Land and Sky, Petra decides to meet with her grandfather to obtain reinforcements and remain in the Empire's good graces. If both Seteth and Flayn were spared by Byleth, then Catherine gives Rhea a letter from him. The attack was meant as a distraction to allow Seteth's expeditionary force to recapture the monastery, but the plan falls apart when the force is routed by the Black Eagles.
